WHAT AFFECTS YOUR QUOTE

Every tear-out has its own scope.

Material type, square footage, attachment, stairs, carrying distance, protection needs, and debris weight affect the estimate. Tile set in mortar or glued flooring can take more work than materials that lift out easily.

Tell us whether you need finishes removed only or additional surface preparation. Grinding, adhesive removal, structural changes, utility work, and reconstruction are included only if explicitly agreed and appropriate to the scope.

General service minimum: $249 + tax. Interior demolition is quoted for the actual project. We confirm labor, haul-off, disposal, and cleanup before work begins.

BEFORE DEMOLITION BEGINS

Interior demolition questions.

What types of interior demolition do you handle?

We review bathroom and kitchen tear-outs, flooring and tile removal, cabinet removal, fireplace surround removal, and selective wall or ceiling finishes. Send photos and a written scope so we can confirm the work we can take on.

Can you remove a wall?

We review the exact scope before agreeing to wall removal. Structural conditions, utilities, and any needed plans or approvals must be resolved before work. Do not assume a wall is non-load-bearing based on its appearance.

Do you disconnect plumbing, gas, or electricity?

Arrange necessary disconnections with the appropriate utility provider or licensed professional before demolition. Plumbing, electrical, gas work, and reconstruction are not included in our demolition scope unless explicitly arranged with the appropriate professional.

How do you protect the rest of the property?

Before work, we agree on the areas to protect, the access route, and work-area boundaries. Protection and dust-control needs depend on the materials and scope. We haul off the agreed debris and clean up the work area; demolition is not a dust-free process.

Is haul-off included?

The agreed quote includes labor, loading, haul-off, disposal, and work-area cleanup. Tell us about existing debris or extra materials so those can be listed in the scope.

Can you work with my remodeling contractor?

Yes. Send the contractor’s scope, what needs to stay, access details, and schedule. We coordinate the agreed tear-out so your renovation can move to its next stage.

What about older or unknown materials?

Let us know the property age and any known material concerns. Suspected hazardous materials require assessment and an appropriate plan before disturbance. Hazardous-material testing and abatement are not included in a standard demolition quote.

How is interior demolition priced?

Pricing depends on the amount and type of material, how it is attached, protection needs, access, carrying distance, debris weight, and the scope of cleanup. Send photos and approximate square footage for an estimate; we may need an on-site review.
